SFYA started with a simple idea: young people in Kenya's most underserved areas have the solutions to their own challenges. They just need the platform and resources to act.
We're a community-based organization run by young Kenyans, for Kenyan communities. Our work spans semi-arid regions facing climate stress and urban neighborhoods dealing with unemployment and inequality. We don't come in with outside solutions—we work with communities to build on what's already working.
From training young farmers in sustainable agriculture to supporting girls' education and civic participation, everything we do connects back to one goal: communities that can thrive on their own terms.

Semi-arid and urban communities across Kenya experience some of the most severe impacts of climate change, inequality, unemployment, environmental degradation, and limited access to opportunities.
